Emmanuel Emenike denies being under pressure






Emmanuel Emenike the 26 yrs old led 






Nigeria in the 2013 AFCON triumph in South Africa. He rises to being highest goal scorer in the tournament with four goals although he missed Nigeria’s final two matches. He also helped Nigeria qualify for the World Cup against Ethiopia in Addis Ababa he ensured Nigeria had a final qualifier in Calabar. In Turkey where he plays for Fernabahce, early this season,  he scored eight goals in sixteen matches reinforcing the belief that he could be the redeemer of Nigerian football as the Eagles prepare for the World Cup in Brazil this June.
Last week, he was appointed the brand ambassador of telecommunication giants and Globacom . When asked if he was under pressure being appointed brand ambassador and the up coming World Cup he responded;
“I am not under any pressure. If anything, the pressure will be on the entire team. It will be shared by all members of the team. I am just one player.”
Emenike was very modest in his response as he continues, “I will have to work harder to ensure I make the team to Brazil because Nigeria is blessed with a lot of strikers. A striker’s place is the easiest to replace in Nigeria
He believes the Super Eagles will be one of the undefeated teams in Brazil, he adds“we have a very good team with excellent players." "We have a very good team” he said with so much pride“mind you, there is no small team at the World Cup. We will give equal respect to all our opponents and face them as they come.”
Although Emenike did not cut final three nominees for the Glo-CAF Player of the Year Award. When asked if he had any grudges against the final three he replied. “No such feelings,” he said. In his response he said players like Mikel Obi, Yaya Toure and Didier Drogba were big names in the continent and that  he is just a debutant. "They are all great players. I cannot fault the last three, but I am praying for my team mate, Mikel to win the award.”
